Each student must finish the full program within the allowed duration:
- UG/PG Degree: Must be completed within N+3 years (where N is the duration of the course).
Failing to do so will result in cancellation of admission.

Spot Admission Option
If you live near a Learner Support Centre (LSC), you can go for spot admission. Submit the filled application and documents in person. Your original certificates will be verified and returned immediately after stamping the Transfer Certificate with admission details.
Note: Final approval is done by the Director of CDOE.

How Evaluation is Done
Evaluation includes:
- End Semester Exam
- Internal Assignments
Each course is graded on a 10-point scale. Students must:
- Score at least 40% in UG and 50% in PG in the end-semester exam (out of 75 marks).
- Achieve a minimum of 40/100 for UG and 50/100 for PG, combining internal and semester marks.
You can reappear in future semesters if you do not clear a subject, as long as your course duration is still valid.
Credit and Course Completion
To pass the entire program:
- UG Programs: Earn at least 100 credits
- PG Programs: Earn at least 78 credits
Once all credits are earned and required marks are secured, the student is considered to have successfully passed the program.
Grading System
Annamalai University uses a letter grading system based on the 10-point GPA scale. Each subject will be given a grade point, and your overall CGPA will be shown at the end of your final semester.
